E-Brisket Auction
WELCOME TO E-BRISKET
Your opportunity to purchase Mister Brisket products at well below normal cost!

HOURS OF COMPETITION: Bids accepted at 9am.  Bidding closes on Saturday at 3:30pm.

Here's how it works:

We will put an item up for bids such as roasted brisket, strip steaks, jumbo shrimp, etc…Typically, these items will be frozen.

If the item interests you, submit a bid to us via the email link at the bottom of the page. Once we receive your email, we will let you know if your bid is successful. If it is, that item is yours—until someone comes in with a higher amount!

Bids will be accepted each week beginning at 9am and concluding by Saturday at 3:30 pm.  That allows individuals three full days to bid.  We will frequently update the current highest bid on the website in order to keep you aware of where you stand.  Bids will be cut off at precisely 3:30pm.  Any bid that comes in later will not be accepted.

The winner will be notified immediately after the close of bidding. All winners must pick up their orders or arrange to have them delivered for a modest fee. If you are outside our normal delivery area, or out of state, you must assume an additional charge for UPS ground delivery. If you are from an area of the country that is too far to be reached via UPS in two days, we will ship FEDEX Second Day Air. Cost of FEDEX shipping will vary depending upon your locale.

Moneys collected each week from the winning bid will be donated to The Agnon School, a private Jewish Day School in Beachwood, Ohio.  If you'd like to benefit Agnon by donating an item to E-Brisket, please send an email with a brief description of the item, it's value and a photo.  If suitable, we'll put it up for bid.

NEXT AUCTION:

ITEM: 12 BURGERS (8 OZ) AND 12 HOT DOGS

Bidding:  Two customers open with the minimum.  The kids at Agnon are looking for max money.  Who wants to up it? A local real estate tycoon ups it a bit...And yet another bidder jumps in and raises us to $15.  The bid is crawling forward as we get to sixteen bucks.  Now our real estate tycoon comes back with 21 dollars.  Clearly he wants to develop his grill space.  A late bid, however, comes in from an old neighbor.  The new high bid is 30. dollars..but with one minute to go a west side customer stakes his claim to this east side butcher's meat.  We're at $35.  Agnon can pay it's heating bill this month!  Congrats to Brian Duffin of Rocky River who made a winning bid with one minute to go.

Retail Value: $ 40
Minimum Bid:  $ 10

Current High Bid: 35

A Brief History of E-Brisket--The original E-Brisket began in November of 2005 and continued for one year.  The auction was held every Friday from 1-3pm and usually involved items with a value of around 50 dollars.  The bidding was inspired but there were problems.  Foremost, many people at work were unable to bid due to the time the auction was held.  Secondly, we began to sell deli sandwiches in the summer of 2006.  This generated a lot of walk-in trade.  It became increasingly difficult to monitor the bidding process and take care of the customers.  Finally, the decision was made to put E-Brisket on hiatus in order to focus on the growth of our deli.

Now, it's time to bring back E-Brisket.  First, we've added a charitable twist.  Rather than keep the money ourselves, all proceeds will be donated The Agnon School, an undervalued civic asset with a first rate staff and innovative curriculum.  TAS has been providing a quality education to pre-school thru eighth grades students since 1969 and is a member of the Independent Schools Association of the Central States (ISACS).

Secondly, technology has changed.  With the advent of handheld devices, people can access the internet from almost any place at any time.  One can bid on this auction while sitting in their car, getting a haircut or from the boardroom at work.  Also, the rise of social media such as Facebook and Twitter allows much greater opportunities for publicity.  While email still remains a primary method of notifying people of our events, it is no longer the only way to do so.

We hope you have fun participating.  For more information on E-Brisket, contact Hank at 216-932-8620
